Introduction to the Sacrificial System

This series aims to answer some foundational questions about the work of Yeshua in regard to his function as both a sacrificial offering and the high priest "in the order of Melchizedek." Did Yeshua fulfill both the sacrificial system and the function of the Levitical priesthood through his work on the cross? Should Believers still observe Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) and anticipate a time when the Holy Temple, and hence sacrificial system, will be restored?

Many times we assume we understand the biblical sacrificial system. However, there are many assumptions that have been made nearly two thousand years removed from its context. What kinds of sacrifices and offerings were given in the Holy Temple, and were all of them presented in order to deal with sin? Did offerings take away the sins of the worshippers?
